  • *POSITION**: Experienced Safety Manager at Terminal. 7886 Winston Churchill, Brampton, ON.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trucking Safety Manager to join our dynamic team at Day To Day Logistics Inc. As a leading transportation company, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees and the communities we serve. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, provincial, state, and federal regulations.

  • *Responsibilities**:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training programs for drivers, mechanics, and other personnel involved in the transportation operation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and investigations to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, and maintenance to ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with current industry regulations and trends, proactively implementing changes to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to stay informed of best practices and industry standards.
  • Implement driver training programs, including defensive driving techniques, accident prevention, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Lead accident/incident investigations, analyzing root causes, and implementing preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, accidents, violations, and corrective actions, preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • *Qualifications**:
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety, transportation management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in trucking safety management, preferably in a transportation or logistics company.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal trucking regulations, including DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address safety issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • *Experience**:
  • FMCSA / DOT & MTO regulations: 2 year (required)
  • E-LOG (ELD) USA & CDN HOS : 2 year (required)
  • Trucking safety Management: 2 years (required)
  • *Salary**: $21.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
