Health and Safety Manager - ICI General Contractor

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety programs for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards in an ICI GC environment.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on HSE protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into construction plans.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to health, safety, and compliance standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related matters on construction sites.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Health and Safety Manager should have:

• Proven experience in HSE management within the construction industry, specifically in an ICI GC environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices applicable in Toronto and across Ontario municipalities.
• Excellent communication and training skills to effectively engage with teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Relevant certifications in health and safety management or equivalent qualifications.
