Project SHE Advisor

Permanent Position

We are excited to invite a dedicated Project SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in implementing and maintaining a top-tier Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental management system for our projects. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Project Team, and Clients, conducting SHE inspections and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote the 'Safety First and Foremost' ethos across all project activities.
  • Assist the Project Manager with planning and executing regular site inspections, ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting of project SHE performance metrics.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date throughout the project.

Incident Management

  • Thoroughly investigate SHE-related incidents according to our 2-2-2 process, ensuring timely reporting and actionable learnings are communicated to the Project Manager.

Training and Competency Development

  • Facilitate the application of the Health and Safety Management System within the Project Team, ensuring effective communication and implementation of health and safety initiatives.

Continuous Improvement and Best Practices

  • Support the creation of innovative solutions for identified SHE challenges, reporting findings to the Director of Health, Safety, and Management.

Supplier Management

  • Assist in the evaluation of the SHE performance of our supply chain, ensuring that SHE alerts and knowledge shares are effectively communicated.

What We Are Looking For

  • Solid knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practices relevant to the industry.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSAS 45001).
  • Excellent report writing and IT skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven experience in promoting a safety-first culture and supporting project teams.
