- *The Role of Health & Safety Field Consultant - COR Specialist**
The position of Health & Safety Consultant - COR Specialist is a field-based role. You will provide advice, field support, recommendations, solutions and documentation to Peninsula clients as part of Peninsula's Health & Safety Essentials service. You will be expected to work from Monday to Friday. Your regular working hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., although applicants will need to be flexible as the needs of the business can change based on our client volume. There is potential for upward mobility for successful hires.
- *Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities**
- Providing advice, support, and recommendations to our clients in a professional, efficient, and practical manner.
- Ensuring Peninsula's Health and Safety program compliance with COR Requirements.
- Participating to the development of COR audit & Gap analysis processes.
- Perform gap analysis for Peninsula's client to help prepare for COR certification (onsite or virtual).
- Completing reports to communicate recommendations.
- Understanding client's operations to create Health and Safety programs relevant to their business.
- Advising clients on how to use and implement Peninsula's health and safety management system.
- Achieving internal key performance indicators
- *Education/Experience**
- A degree, diploma or certificate from an accredited education or health and safety training program
- Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation throughout Canada
- Experience using Alberta COR auditing protocols and reviewing audit reports.
- Alberta COR auditor training certificate an asset
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in health and safety
- Experience in safety compliance, and occupational health and safety management systems.
- Experience with customer relationship management
