Terms of Service

Governing Law: Province of Ontario, Canada

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this job board platform (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you:
a) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms;
b) will comply with all applicable federal and provincial laws, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable;
c) are legally capable of entering into binding agreements.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must stop using the Platform immediately.


2. Description of Service

The Platform provides a space for employers to post job opportunities and for job seekers to browse those opportunities.
The Platform does not:

  • vet employers, job seekers, or job postings;

  • guarantee job placement or hiring outcomes;

  • verify the accuracy, legality, or legitimacy of job postings.

Use of the Platform is at your own risk.


3. Job Listings (Employer Responsibilities)

Employers posting on the Platform agree that:

a) They are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and compliance of all job postings.
b) Job postings must comply with all applicable laws, including:

  • Ontario Human Rights Code (no discriminatory content)

  • Employment Standards Act, 2000 (proper pay, hours, employment terms)

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (accurate description of hazards/responsibilities)

  • Advertising wage transparency laws, where applicable
    c) They will not post misleading, fraudulent, unsafe, or deceptive information.
    d) They will not solicit money from job seekers or require paid applications unless expressly permitted by law and clearly disclosed.

Right to Remove:
We reserve the exclusive right, at our sole discretion, to edit, refuse, or remove any job posting that violates our policies, appears unsafe, unlawful, discriminatory, misleading, or is otherwise objectionable.

Employers agree to indemnify and hold the Platform harmless for any claims arising from their job postings.


4. User Conduct

All users (job seekers and employers) agree:

a) Not to use the Platform for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
b) Not to impersonate another person or entity.
c) Not to upload malicious software, spam, or automated scraping tools.
d) Not to harvest emails, personal information, or data from the Platform without explicit consent (PIPEDA compliance).
e) Not to attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security measures.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent banning.


5. No Employment Relationship

Use of the Platform does not create any employment, contractor, partnership, joint venture, agency, or fiduciary relationship between the Platform and any user.

The Platform is a listing service only and is not a recruitment agency, HR representative, or employment broker.


6. Intellectual Property

All content, including text, logos, trademarks, graphics, UI design, software, and original materials, is the exclusive property of the Platform or licensed providers and is protected by the Copyright Act (Canada) and international IP laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or exploit any content without written permission.


7. Third-Party Links & External Content

Job postings may contain links or references to external websites. We are not responsible for:

  • the accuracy, reliability, or safety of external content;

  • employer websites;

  • third-party application portals.

Users access third-party content at their own risk.


8. Privacy & Data Protection (PIPEDA Notice)

By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage, and limited use of personal information as necessary to operate the service.

We will not sell or disclose personal information except where required by law, court order, or to prevent fraud or security threats.

Users are responsible for ensuring that any information they upload is accurate and lawful.


9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied.

We do not guarantee:

  • that job postings are real, current, truthful, or safe;

  • that users will secure employment;

  • uninterrupted or error-free service;

  • the accuracy of information provided by any user.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law:

a) The Platform is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service.
b) The Platform is not responsible for:

  • employment decisions made by employers,

  • loss of data,

  • fraudulent postings,

  • user disputes,

  • economic loss, or

  • personal injury related to applying for jobs or attending interviews.

c) Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount paid by the user in the previous 12 months, or

  • $50 CAD.

This clause shall apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.


11. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Platform, its owners, affiliates, and employees from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including legal fees) arising from:

  • use of the Platform;

  • posted content;

  • violation of applicable laws;

  • breach of these Terms.


12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time, without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any conduct harmful to the Platform or other users.

You may stop using the Platform at any time.


13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.


14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.
