Site Safety and Health Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Site Safety Manager at Richard E. Pierson Construction Co., Inc., in the Baltimore area. The Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures, conducting new hire safety orientations, performing hazard assessments, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include investigating workplace accidents, taking part in progress meetings, and recommending preventative measures to minimize risks. The Site Safety Manager will collaborate with various teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA and MOSH safety standards
• Experience in Safety Management and conducting sessions for employees
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to ensure workplace safety
• Certifications such as OSHA 510, 500 or other safety-related credentials are preferred
• Experience in the civil construction industry
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members of various trades/positions
