The Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Safety Manager to support our Fire & Building Safety Department with expert technical guidance, Building Safety Case work, and compliance assurance.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams, helping to deliver high-quality safety outcomes across a diverse portfolio of sites. You will play a key role in shaping safer buildings, contributing to technical excellence, and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.

This is a hybrid role combining field-based site visits across the UK with remote working

Key responsibilities include

  • Delivering Building Safety Case Reports and Gap Analysis Reports
  • Providing clear, competent technical guidance to clients and colleagues
  • Supporting the development of internal policies, procedures, and training
  • Maintaining CPD and staying up to date with legislation and best practice
  • Escalating risks appropriately and communicating effectively across teams
  • Travelling to client sites as required

Skills

  • Strong report writing and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical guidance and legislation
  • Collaborative approach with internal and external teams

Knowledge

  • Level 5 Building Safety qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of building construction, external walls, and compartmentation
  • Working knowledge of current legislation, guidance, and compliance frameworks

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a building compliance or safety discipline
  • Proven experience producing technical reports (e.g., Safety Case or Gap Analysis)
  • Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven environments
