Branch Quality and Safety Coordinator
Western Industries CorporationMid-sized manufacturing company located in Hutto, TX is looking for a branch Quality and Safety Coordinator who is well versed in safety, health, and environmental systems in addition to having exposure to ISO Quality Management Systems with leadership experience to work in a diverse cultural environment. The bulk of the day-to-day tasks for this position will be administrative and responding to things like accidents in real time. This person will ensure that all activity is compliant with state and federal safety regulations and statutes. This job involves enforcing company health and safety guidelines, inspecting, workspaces and products to ensure that they are up to safety standards. This job will also assure consistent quality of production by verifying and validating processes; providing documentation; performing random product and process inspections; and, as necessary, will perform the final inspection prior to release to the customer as necessary.
The Quality and Safety Coordinator will prepare the quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, capability studies, recalls, corrective actions and re-inspection. They will maintain the calibration system and perform designated calibrations per internal procedures and will oversee the Material Review Board process for nonconforming materials. This position does not directly manage any other positions, but they will interact with every department of the branch and will collaborate with the OKC Office Manager and GM for branch specific tasks. This position will also coordinate with the Corporate Quality and Safety Manager and Corporate Quality and Safety Coordinator when necessary. Starting pay is based on experience.
Any Applicant will need to possess the following skills:
· Must have basic computer knowledge (i.e. data entry, Word, Excel, Email)
· Must demonstrate attention to detail.
· Must identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
· Must be able to interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, or schematic diagrams and confer with production, management, or engineering staff to define
· Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems Standards is preferred.
· Experience with Document Control and MRB Systems is preferred.
· Prior auditing experience is preferred.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
