Brief Description
Overview
Baldor Security Supervisors are safety and security professionals. In partnership with and under the direction of Baldor Security Management, Security Supervisors are responsible for the safety and security of all Baldor personnel and facilities. Security Supervisors are not law enforcement agents and must adhere to all Company Standard Operating Procedures, post orders and instructions provided by Security Management.
Responsibilities
- Adhering to and enforcing all Baldor policies/procedures which include GMP/Safety/Food Safety/Food Defense/Visitor /Security standards.
- Assist the Security Manager in training all security personnel.
- Conduct Human Resources new hire orientations
- Plan, supervise and monitor activities of security employee staff.
- Complete Kronos timekeeping requirements/requests for security employee staff.
- Ensure all monthly training has been completed by security employee staff.
- Review CCTV footage and assist with all internal and external investigations.
- Report and record all incidents via Security databases.
- Report all CCTV and/or access control issues immediately.
- Investigate, document then report all suspicious activities that may occur to the Security Manager.
- Respond to any investigation/operational requests from all Baldor business partners/ Delegate investigations/requests to security staff when appropriate.
- Provide support to HR during employee suspensions or terminations. If necessary, support security employees during escorts of former employees out of the facility.
- Provide support for all company events i.e., orientation, hiring events.
- Respond to and de-escalate any disturbances that may occur including but not limited to verbal-physical altercations.
- Alert Security Manager if any local or federal agency attempts to enter the facility.
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during security emergencies.
- Escalate all minor, moderate or major incidents to the Security Manager.
Requirements
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality, display a sense of urgency and poise.
- Knowledge of Investigation methodology, interviewing and interrogation techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- English proficiency, Spanish a plus.
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in similar role physical/retail/warehouse security, law enforcement.
- Previous experience in a Supervisory role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team.
- English and Spanish proficiency preferred
Technology Skills
- Knowledge of security monitoring and/or alarm systems (fire, burglar) CCTV equipment.
- Microsoft Excel/ Word
- Electronic mail software - Microsoft Exchange; Microsoft Outlook
- Video conferencing software – Microsoft Teams
- Wicklander-Zulawski Interrogation technique training a plus
Work Environment
- 5 days a week in Facility
- Ability to work or stand in a cold environment.
- Ability to work or stand for extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
