Assistant Manager - Health and Safety

As a Safety Manager at Coats, your role involves ensuring the Health & Safety of operations and compliance with legislative requirements. Your responsibilities include setting standards for operational skills, conducting safety audits, developing and auditing SOPs, preparing and implementing H&S trainings, monitoring fire protection systems, and building a safety culture among employees. Your key activities also involve providing H&S training and support for implementation, analyzing incidents, conducting periodic inspections, following H&S guidelines and legal requirements, reviewing H&S requirements with department managers, and implementing safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and continuously update Safety Standards for all processes.
• Conduct shop floor Safety audits and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and audit SOPs in manufacturing processes for consistent results.
• Prepare and implement H&S trainings.
• Monitor fire protection systems periodically.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Legal & Coats H&S guideline requirements.
• Build a Safety culture among employees.
• Enhance emergency preparedness and conditions.

Qualifications Required

• M TECH / ME in Industrial Safety Engineering or NEBOSG IGC (Mandatory).
• Good communication abilities.
• Excellent investigation skills.
• Experience in team handling.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
