The Opportunity

Judge Direct Placement is partnering with a leading Manufacturing company in the Greater Salisbury, MD area to find an experienced Safety Manager. This critical role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all plant safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive plant safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular facility inspections, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to identify potential safety issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead accident investigations to determine root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Manage the worker's compensation program, focusing on minimizing claims and ensuring effective return-to-work protocols.
• Develop and deliver effective safety training programs for all employees, supervisors, and new hires.
• Track and analyze safety metrics (e.g., TRIR, DART) and report findings to plant and corporate leadership.
• Promote and foster a proactive, engaged safety culture throughout the entire facility.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of progressive experience in an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or Safety Management role within a Manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive change regarding safety practices.
• CSP/ASP certification is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort training large groups.
