Environmental Health & Safety Manager
CorningWe’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Environmental Health & Safety Manager to join Corning’s team and make an immediate impact. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining Corning’s environmental health and safety standards, programs, and initiatives, as well as managing a team of professionals. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring that Corning meets all applicable safety regulations and standards and maintains a safe and healthy work environment.To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of safety regulations, as well as a background in managing teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are a must. You should be detail-oriented and have the ability to think strategically about safety issues. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Corning’s environmental health and safety standards, programs, and initiatives.
Manage a team of environmental health and safety professionals.
Ensure that Corning meets all applicable safety regulations and standards.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Communicate safety regulations and standards to Corning employees.
Identify and assess potential safety risks and hazards.
Develop strategies to mitigate safety risks and hazards.
Develop and update safety policies and procedures.
Investigate and report safety incidents.
Monitor safety performance and measure compliance.
Provide training and guidance to employees on safety-related topics.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in safety.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Develop and deliver safety presentations and training sessions.
Analyze safety data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
Lead and mentor the safety team.
