Position Title: Environmental Health & Safety Manager

Location: Waco, TX

Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000 per year (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Overview

A leading steel fabrication facility in the Waco, TX area is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced EHS Manager to lead all aspects of environmental health and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA regulations, workplace safety, environmental standards, and safety training, particularly within the steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing industry .

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage all site-specific environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, etc.) Conduct safety orientations and training for all new hires and ongoing safety refreshers for existing employees Perform routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training logs, OSHA logs, and compliance documentation Partner with plant leadership and supervisors to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement Serve as the primary liaison during regulatory agency inspections and audits Ensure all safety equipment and emergency response protocols are in place and maintained

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred) 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (steel fabrication industry experience strongly preferred) In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental compliance, and workplace safety regulations Proven experience conducting safety training and leading investigations Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and train across all levels of the organization Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, CHST, CSP, or similar are a plus
