We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced DOT Safety Manager to lead our safety and compliance initiatives and ensure our fleet meets all federal and state regulatory requirements.

Position Summary

As the DOT Safety Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety programs that comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations. You will support drivers, management, and operations staff to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and enforce DOT/FMCSA compliance for drivers and fleet operations
• Monitor Hours of Service (HOS), ELD records, and driver logs
• Maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQF) and ensure that all documentation is current
• Coordinate drug & alcohol testing programs
• Conduct safety training and orientation for new and existing drivers
• Prepare for and support DOT audits and inspections
• Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions
• Track and report safety performance metrics

Qualifications

• Proven experience in DOT/FMCSA compliance or safety management
• Knowledge of HOS, ELDs, and driver qualification requirements
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and training abilities
• Experience handling safety documentation and audits
• Prefer experience in trucking or transportation industry

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
