We are recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a live earthworks project in Lincoln on a full-time, site-based contract. This is a 12-week requirement starting ASAP, created due to project mobilisation and the need for a dedicated H&S lead on site.

This Health and Safety Manager role will suit someone with strong construction or civil engineering experience who can take ownership of day-to-day site safety, work closely with the delivery team, and maintain high standards throughout the programme.

The Role

You will be the dedicated on-site Health and Safety lead for an active earthworks package. Working alongside site management and project leadership, you will oversee compliance, monitor safe systems of work, carry out inspections, and ensure all health and safety procedures are followed consistently across site.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the dedicated on-site Health and Safety lead
• Oversee day-to-day health and safety compliance
• Carry out regular site inspections and safety monitoring
• Ensure safe systems of work are followed on site
• Maintain health and safety documentation and records
• Liaise with site teams and project leadership
• Provide practical H&S support within a live earthworks environment
• Help maintain standards throughout the full programme

Requirements

• Previous experience in a site-based Health and Safety role
• NEBOSH
• SMSTS
