What you’ll be doing

• Ensuring in accordance with the corporate/regional guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the company HSE Systems,
• Monitoring the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and providing for their updating in line with changes in legislation and company directives,
• Providing motivation and familiarization of all company personnel respecting the importance of complying with company system procedures and all safety equipment provided,
• Safety audit on site, instruction and training the company and contractor staffs,
• Conducting HSE trainings, meetings and “TOOL BOX” talks,
• Reviewing employee safety programs to determine their adequacy,
• Defining company management any need of special emergency, rescue, safety and fire protection / firefighting systems and necessary training,
• Supporting company safety, environmental and quality policies and programs,
• Providing technical and professional proposals and advising to protect company property and personnel,
• Preparing annual HSE objectives and action plan,
• Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly inspection and monitoring all activities and facilities,
• Recommending process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards,
• Reminding all workers that the safety in the best policy and targeting zero accident.
• Determining annual plant safety investment budget items and providing to achieve 100% completion rate within the year.
• Leading the implementation of LOTO activities in accordance with global standards.

What we’d love for you to have

We are interested in you as a person: your attitude, behaviors and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you. If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering degree is preferred),
• Minimum 10 years proven experience in people management,
• Having Environment Officer Certificate from Ministry of Environment,
• Preferred B Class Safety Specialist Certificate,
• Preferably having ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 14001 certificates,
• Having NEBOSH General Certificate is a plus,
• Excellent command of English,
• Good knowledge of QDMS & Microsoft Office,
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills,
• Strong presentation and project management skills,
• Decision-making and result-oriented,
• High cooperation and persuasion skills,
• Residency in Ankara,
• No restriction for travel.
