OTR Fleet Safety Manager

Provide overall support and guidance to the local transportation operations and its driver, promoting a culture of Safety.
Promote and develop safe driving behaviors for all drivers.
Manage the driver safety bonus program.
Process incident reports and gather supporting documents.
Supervise truck shop operations and mechanic(s).
Ensure shop grounds and building are maintained.
Review and manage Samsara camera system and coach drivers as needed.
Gather and maintain safety reports.
Responsible for initial road test and scheduling DOT physical appointment.
Perform Samsara orientation for new drivers.
Review hours of service records for accuracy.
Monitor driver performance ensuring safe driving practices.
Manage driver safety meetings.
Ensure records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted in compliance with internal procedures.
Maintain driver qualification files and vehicle maintenance.
Ensure vehicle inspection and maintenance.
All other relevant tasks as assigned.
Bachelor degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain or other closely related field of study; comparable experience may be substituted for education.
Two plus years of transportation and/or truck safety management experience
Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
