To develop, implement, and monitor effective health, safety, and environmental management systems ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry standards. The role focuses on risk management, accident prevention, and fostering a strong safety culture across the Project Sites.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & System Development

  • Formulate and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001), and client requirements.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and environmental impact analysis.
  • Ensure statutory compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report on HSE performance indicators (accidents, incidents, near misses, LTIs).
  • Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and refresher training.
  • Promote awareness of safe working practices and environmental protection.

Emergency Preparedness

  • Develop and implement emergency response and disaster management plans.
  • Conduct regular fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency exercises.

Environmental Management

  • Monitor waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices.
  • Implement energy-saving, waste reduction, and resource optimization programs.

Team Leadership

  • Lead HSE officers and site safety supervisors.
  • Drive safety culture improvement initiatives.

Key Skills And Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent (mandatory/preferred).
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 management systems
  • Experience in sectors like construction, oil & gas, power, manufacturing, or heavy industries.
