Job Description

Emergency Response Plan Compliance

• Weekly systematic checks to ensure Emergency Response Plan requirements are met throughout premises, with rotating coverage of all areas over monthly cycles
• Immediate written notification to owner/occupier upon identification of non-compliance during scheduled visits, with detailed records of when and how notification was provided
• Weekly monitoring of fire safety measures and practices against Act requirements during site presence

Fire Safety Works Supervision

• Weekly hazard identification inspections with immediate coordination of hazard elimination through owner/occupier, supplemented by building management daily monitoring protocols
• Weekly supervision and review of maintenance schedules for all fire safety installations, with monthly detailed system assessments
• Weekly occupant load monitoring in high-risk areas, with monthly comprehensive capacity audits across all building areas

Emergency Preparedness and Training

• Minimum bi-annual fire evacuation drills with full FSM supervision, plus quarterly mini-drills coordinated through building management
• Annual Emergency Response Plan review and update, with quarterly distribution verification to new occupants
• Monthly Company Emergency Response Team training sessions, with quarterly comprehensive training programs
• Quarterly occupant training programs, supplemented by monthly safety briefings coordinated through building management
• Quarterly escape route familiarization sessions with annual comprehensive evacuation procedure updates

Fire Command Centre Operations

• On-call supervision during fire emergencies (as required), with weekly Fire Command Centre operational checks during regular visits
• Emergency coordination protocols established with 24/7 building management for immediate FSM notification during incidents

Risk Assessment and Planning (Complex Premises)

• Triennial comprehensive fire risk assessment conducted over multiple weekly visits, with annual interim assessments
• Annual Arson Prevention Plan review and implementation oversight, with quarterly progress monitoring
• Bi-annual Table-Top Exercises with Fire Safety Committee, plus quarterly planning sessions
• Monthly checks of alternative solution compliance during regular site visits

Documentation and Reporting

• Annual comprehensive fire safety report preparation (allocated across multiple weekly visits in November-December) and submission to owner/occupier by December deadline
• Immediate notification to Commissioner upon any fire incident occurrence, with established emergency contact protocols
• Annual fire safety guidebook review and update, with quarterly distribution verification

Fire Certificate and Compliance Management

• Monthly verification of valid fire certificate status during regular visits
• Quarterly review of temporary change of use compliance and associated fire-safety conditions

Ongoing Activities

• Quarterly organization and coordination of fire safety campaigns and activities, with annual comprehensive program planning
• Immediate response to additional duties as directed by Commissioner, with flexible weekly schedule adjustment as required
