As a Safety Manager at MasTec Communications Group, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s safety initiatives by leading and supporting the development and implementation of comprehensive safety programs that meet operational goals and regulatory requirements. This full-time position offers a starting salary of $90,000 and requires wireless construction experience to effectively oversee and enhance site safety practices. The Safety Manager will work closely with site management, leadership teams, and compliance support staff to ensure a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement across all projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic safety and compliance goals that align with corporate objectives, supervising safety personnel, and mentoring teams to cultivate robust safety practices within dynamic construction environments. Your leadership will include designing effective Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, implementing audit tracks to identify compliance gaps, and leading incident investigations to uncover root causes and corrective actions. Your ability to communicate safety strategies clearly and your problem-solving skills will be essential in supporting management in regulatory compliance, adapting to changes, and driving accountability.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent
• 5 years of related supervisory experience in a safety role
• Working knowledge of the construction and/or telecommunications/electrical/gas industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams
• Strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations
• Willingness to work hands-on and provide leadership in challenging environments
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Experience in wireless construction
