Health & Safety Specialist II

Our client is looking for a Senior Health & Safety Specialist to support refinery operations and drive a strong safety culture across the organization. This is full time direct hire position that offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

What you'll do

• Lead and support incident investigations, audits, and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable industry standards
• Conduct safety inspections, training, and compliance reviews
• Support emergency response, ICS, industrial hygiene, and fire protection
• Partner with leadership and represent H&S when the manager is absent
• Support refinery shutdowns and turnarounds

What we're looking for

• 5+ years HSE experience in refining, chemical, or heavy industrial environments
• Strong incident investigation and regulatory knowledge
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
• CSP strongly preferred (ASP/CIH a plus)
• Comfortable in the field and during on-call/emergency situations
• High-visibility role in a complex refinery environment
