What you'll do

As a Workplace Health and Safety Manager based in Singapore, you will play an integral role in promoting a culture of wellbeing throughout the organisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with business leaders and site operations teams as you drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at creating safer workplaces. By conducting detailed risk assessments, analysing incident data, developing robust procedures, mentoring colleagues, and overseeing compliance requirements, you will ensure that every employee feels supported and protected. Your ability to inspire change through education and guidance will be key to your success as you work together with others towards shared goals of health, safety, and inclusivity.

  • Lead a dedicated Workplace Health and Safety team by creating and executing development plans that nurture growth and collaboration among team members.
  • Review workplace data, analyse trends, and develop strategic long-term plans that guide operational teams towards safer environments for all employees.
  • Complete thorough risk assessments related to hazards, ensuring that all potential risks are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Develop local site procedures and processes that align with global standards, ensuring consistency in health and safety practices across all locations.
  • Analyse safety metrics regularly, reviewing incident trends on both weekly and monthly bases to inform proactive improvements.
  • Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies, identifying deficiencies and supporting teams in implementing effective solutions.
  • Deliver high-quality projects on time to operations teams, ensuring that safety initiatives are seamlessly integrated into daily workflows.
  • Conduct frequent site audits to identify non-compliance issues with equipment or processes, providing actionable feedback for corrective measures.
  • Mentor Safety Associates or Health & Safety representatives within assigned facilities, fostering an environment of shared learning and support.
  • Ensure contractor management safety processes are fully implemented so that external partners adhere to organisational standards.
  • Manage internal and external compliance requirements efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records and facilitating smooth audit processes.

  • At least ten years of increasing responsibilities within Environmental, Health, and Safety programmes in manufacturing, production or service operations highlights your depth of expertise.
  • Current registration as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) recognised by the Singaporean Ministry of Manpower (MOM) ensures compliance with local regulations.
  • Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health reflects your commitment to professional development within the field.
  • Experience implementing lean principles or process improvement strategies within operational environments is highly desirable for driving efficiency.
  • Background working in distribution centres or manufacturing EHS settings with both exempt and non-exempt employees at large sites (250+ people) adds valuable perspective.
  • Familiarity with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements supports your ability to navigate regulatory frameworks effectively.
