We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Safety & Human Resources Administrator who wants more than just a job—someone eager to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility over time.

What You’ll Learn & Do

DOT Safety & Driver Compliance

  • Build and maintain Driver Qualification Files in compliance with FMCSR 49 CFR Part 391
  • Conduct previous employer inquiries under FMCSR 49 CFR 391.23
  • Perform background checks in compliance with FMCSR and FCRA
  • Support the company’s DOT drug & alcohol testing program
  • Collect pre-employment and random drug test samples in accordance with FMCSR Part 40

Human Resources & Benefits Administration

  • Maintain confidential employee personnel files
  • Assist with administration and recordkeeping for health benefits and insurance plans
  • Support documentation for the company 401(k) retirement plan

Fleet & Operations Support

  • Assist with fleet registration documentation
  • Maintain and update vehicle permit books
  • Order and track Certificates of Insurance
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews

Professional Development

  • Work closely with the Director of Safety & Human Resources
  • Gain exposure to workers’ compensation, auto liability, and regulatory audits
  • Take on additional responsibilities as skills and experience grow

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Experience in transportation, safety, HR, or administrative roles preferred but not required
  • Interest in DOT/FMCSA regulations (training provided)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping systems
