Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Safety Coordinator to oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance in a floral warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of risk management, occupational health, OSHA standards, and warehouse management practices. This role is vital in maintaining a safe working environment, minimizing hazards, and promoting a culture of safety on all departments. The Site Safety Coordinator will collaborate closely with project managers, workers, and regulatory agencies to uphold safety standards and implement best practices in warehouse safety management.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Workers Comp experience – Knowledge of the workers comp life cycle and follow up.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Provide safety training and education to construction personnel regarding OSHA requirements, workers' compensation procedures, and risk management strategies.
- Manage incident investigations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) policies into daily operations.
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and enforce safety protocols on site.
- Stay current with industry regulations related to construction site safety and occupational health standards.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies during inspections or audits to demonstrate compliance efforts.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse safety or site safety coordination within the floral industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation policies, and compliance management.
- Familiarity with warehouse site experience including hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies.
- Background in occupational health practices related to warehouse environments is preferred.
- Prior involvement in managing safety programs on floral products is advantageous.
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
