Description
Safety coordinators work to ensure that other employees at our company can complete their work safely. They set safety standards for their work site based on legal requirements and train employees to help them understand these rules. Safety coordinators also monitor working conditions and resolve any safety issues that may arise.
- Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and evaluating daily operations and planning procedures to mitigate risks and improve safety regulations.
- Inspecting building premises, individual workstations, as well as common areas to ensure that the arrangements are compliant with federal and state law safety protocols.
- Enforcing company health and safety guidelines.
- Providing workplace safety training.
- Developing policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations.
- Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues.
Requirements
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Good-time management skills
· Good interpersonal and information skills
· Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards
· At least 2 years of safety experience
· Pay based on experience
