Site Safety Manager

Central Civil Construction is seeking an experienced Site Specific Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for projects at Miami International Airport (MIA). This role is responsible for leading and implementing safety programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, airport, and company safety standards while supporting safe and efficient project execution.

The ideal candidate is a proactive safety leader with strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with project teams, field personnel, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce the company’s Health & Safety Program on assigned airport construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDOT, FAA, and Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and orientation programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while implementing preventive measures.
• Support project management and field teams to integrate safety into daily operations.
• Maintain documentation including JHAs, safety reports, inspections, and compliance records.
• Coordinate with airport authorities and regulatory agencies as required.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience (heavy civil or infrastructure preferred).
• Experience working on airport projects or highly regulated environments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Ability to conduct investigations, training, and field audits.
