About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Safety Manager to lead, strengthen, and continuously improve safety practices across our construction operations. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to balance compliance with real-world jobsite conditions—and who can earn respect in the field, not just enforce rules from an office. You will partner with project managers, superintendents, and crews to ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
Location
Travelling position to project locations in the western United States, particularly Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the company’s safety program across multiple construction projects
- Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Develop and deliver safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records
- Serve as a trusted advisor to field leadership on hazard mitigation and best practices
- Proactively identify trends and opportunities to improve safety performance
- Support preconstruction planning with job hazard analyses and safety planning
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of safety experience in construction (commercial, civil, or industrial preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Proven experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with field and office teams
- Comfortable being present on active jobsites in varying conditions
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites as needed
Preferred
- OSHA 30 (or OSHA 500/510)
- CHST, CSP, or other safety certification
- Experience supporting multi-project or multi-state operations
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Annual salary $90,000-$120,000 based on experience
