Hse Advisor

We are looking for a HSE Advisor to join our Dynamic HSE team at Magil Construction Reporting to the HSEQ Director, the HSE Advisor will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment while building relationships with our trade partners on site. This position is based in London, working on many exciting projects in London and surrounding area. **The Job**: - Champion our core values by working in a team spirit, being respectful, having integrity, and taking decisions based on sustainability and entrepreneurship. - Conduct regular inspections/audits of job activities, work sites, equipment and processes to detect existing or potential hazards; complete forms for internal audits. - Identify and address unsafe conditions, safety violations, incidents and near misses; work with HSEQ Director, Management, and Sub-Trades to recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated; and take necessary steps to ensure that unsafe employee activities, procedures, and practices are corrected. - Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure HSE standards are communicated, implemented and measured. **What you bring?** - Professional designation such as National Construction Safety Officer Certificate (NCSO), Gold Seal Safety Practitioner (GSC), Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), or Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is highly recommended. - Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in full-time HSE function in the construction industry. - Comprehensive working knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. - Ability to travel is a requirement - Excellent communication skills and a "get 'er done" attitude **What We Offer**: - Opportunity to work on various projects of various sizes - Competitive salary - A full range of benefits including group insurance, retirement savings plan, and registered education savings plan - Learning and development programs, training and career opportunities - Magil Construction values diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
