Diversified Personnel Services is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Coordinator / Safety Coordinator to support environmental, health, and safety programs for our internal operations and client workforce. This role will help ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across diverse work environments. Pay $60,000 - $62,000
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Implement and support EHS policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations
- Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and job site evaluations
- Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution
Training & Education
- Coordinate and deliver safety training, including new hire orientation, OSHA topics, and job-specific safety requirements
- Develop and update safety materials, SOPs, and training documentation
- Promote safety awareness and best practices among employees and client partners
Incident Management
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries
- Complete incident reports, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans
- Assist with workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and injury trend analysis
Client & Employee Support
- Serve as a safety resource for internal teams, employees, and other plant locations
- Partner with clients to align safety expectations and ensure compliance
- Conduct plant visits and participate in safety meetings as needed
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
- Track safety metrics and prepare reports for management and clients
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and improve workplace safety
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of safety, EHS, or related experience
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to plant sites
Preferred
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or construction environments
- CPR/First Aid certification
