These Safety Professional roles must act as strategic leaders, moving beyond mere compliance to foster a proactive, "Safety First" culture. This also includes serving as a visionary for safety, cultural influencer, risk manager and effective communicator, who empowers employees.
The Construction Safety Professionals are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company and client safety standards. These roles serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters on assigned projects, conducting regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits to proactively identify and mitigate risks. The Safety Coordinator/Manager works closely with project managers, supervisors, and field personnel to promote safe work practices, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment, and verify that work activities are performed in accordance with approved safety procedures.
In addition, the Construction Safety Professional provides safety orientation and ongoing training to employees, reinforces a strong safety culture, and supports incident prevention efforts through coaching and leadership. These positions are responsible for investigating incidents and near-misses, preparing detailed reports, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
The Safety Professional must also maintain accurate safety documentation, support regulatory compliance efforts, and serve as a visible safety leader dedicated to protecting personnel, minimizing risk, and ensuring the successful and safe execution of all construction activities.
This project, located in the Boardman Oregon, requires strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills and must be able to work well and make decisions independently. Candidates to be considered for this person must be familiar with NFPA70E and electrical safety, have employment history either working for electrical trade partners AND/OR safety experience building substations.

Required Professional Experience
· Previous experience in construction safety coordination or related roles, with 5+ years experience
· Board of Certified Safety Professionals credentials such as (CHST, ASP, GSP, CSP, CIH)
· Nationally recognized professional certifications/credentials.
· BS degree in occupational safety & health management, or similar
· OSHA 500 Construction Safety Train the Trainer
· Have strong experience with NFPA70E and electrical safety
· CPR 1st Aid AED Certified
· Strong knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations and standards
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
· Leadership and safety culture influencing abilities
· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
· Strong proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office
· Strong proficiency with computer-based Construction safety project management operating systems
