This position reports directly to the Safety Manager.**

- *WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Represent the General / Prime Contractor’s H&S program and accountabilities for contractors in the workplace.
- Able to lead a team of 10 health and safety field advisors.
- Coordinate H&S contractor safety meetings and Worker Trades Committee meetings.
- Liaison with customers, contractors, and government agencies.
- Review contractor pre-hazard assessment plans.
- Develop and report key performance indicators to project leaders.
- Oversee incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate site inspections and communicate mitigation requirements.
- Prepare and communicate H&S safety bulletins.
- Maintain H&S records and documents for the project.
- Enforce H&S compliance for the workplace in accordance with the OHSA and the General / Prime Contractor’s regulations/requirements.
- *WHAT YOU NEED**
- Knowledgeable of Ontario Construction Regulations.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a construction H&S manager or lead coordinator.
- NCSO, H&S Gold Seal, or CRSP designations are an asset.
- Must have “Working at Heights”, WHMIS, Confined Space Entry Awareness, and Elevated Work Platform training and experience.
- Experience with demolition and heavy equipment.
- Working experience with electrical (Z-462) and energy isolation H&S.
- Knowledgeable of cranes, hoisting and rigging, steel erection, and hot work.
- Knowledgeable of industrial hygiene best practices.
- Must be able to problem solve and advise ensuring compliance with the OHSA Construction Regulations and Industrial Establishments.
- Automotive and demolition experience is an asset.
