Health and Safety and Maintenance Coordinator

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Health & Safety Management**:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments within the warehouse.
- Lead safety training sessions for all employees, including emergency response procedures, proper handling of materials, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including training, inspections, and incidents.
- Coordinate with external safety consultants and regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
- **Maintenance Coordination**:
- Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of all warehouse equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and conveyor systems.
- Schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance activities to minimize disruption to warehouse operations.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Maintain an inventory of all supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are readily available and in good working condition.
- Work with third-party vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks or equipment servicing.
- **Facility Management**:
- Monitor the overall condition of the warehouse facility, including lighting, heating, ventilation, and other building systems.
- Implement procedures for the safe storage and handling of materials, particularly steel products.
- Ensure that all areas of the warehouse are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Coordinate waste management and recycling activities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and other department heads to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
- Communicate safety and maintenance updates to the warehouse team and other stakeholders.
- Participate in regular team meetings, providing input on safety and maintenance-related matters.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
