Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations specific to the transport industry
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for Drivers, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures
  • Maintain safety records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Strong communication skills to effectively train employees on safety protocols
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends or areas for improvement
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • *Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
  • *Salary**: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
