Health and Safety Management

Implement and manage site-specific comprehensive Health and Safety programs throughout assigned locations, defined by global CEMEX parameters.

Instill Zero4Life as a fundamental driver to an injury-free workplace.

Identify best practices and develop site-specific policies and procedures to drive zero injuries and preventable vehicle incidents.

Provide technical advice and guidance on training programs to address regulatory requirements and operational concerns.

Work with DOT, FMCSA, MSHA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies to manage compliance.

Assist operations in incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Consult and guide management on systems to manage injured employees through the transitional return-to-work process.

Participate in Division Health & Safety Management Systems audits and follow-up actions.

Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety or related field required. 3 years of experience in health and safety management, operations management, or related position preferred.

Safety certifications (CSP, CIH, CMSP, CDS) and experience dealing with regulatory agencies are desirable.

Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently, as a self-starter.

Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability required.

Must excel as a communicator, communicating effectively with large groups of employees, supervisors, and managers.

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.

Must wear protective equipment while at the location.

Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
