Job Summary
The Health Safety and Wellbeing Manager provides visible Health and Safety guidance to the project, promoting positive health and wellbeing practices and adhering to relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an advisor on all matters relating to Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) and apply professional standards to ensure best practice.
  • Maintain core areas of expertise and impart knowledge to aid the development, training and mentoring of others.
  • Provide HSW advice to managers and project managers to assist them in achieving project objectives.
  • Create, develop and maintain a range of internal/external relationships to maximise impact of expertise and knowledge to influence the quality of decision making, share learning and drive improvements among the Project's supply chain.
  • Advise on and interpret project contractual and statutory requirements and obligations to protect the project's integrity and ensure legal compliance.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners and suppliers to assist the achievement of project targets
Technical Skills And Competencies
  • Understanding of H&S standards and the evaluation of compliance therein.
  • Knowledge of H&S Risk Management
  • Able to undertake incident reporting, investigation.
  • Able to undertake performance monitoring and measurement.
  • Proven knowledge of construction techniques and their implications for safety.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of all aspects of construction Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of occupational health.
  • Knowledge of behavioural safety techniques.
Qualifications, Certifications And Experience
  • Relevant experience working in a similar role in HSW.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in similar role and industry.
  • NEBOSH accreditation.
