Safety Coordinator role responsible for supporting and improving health and safety management programs across distribution and manufacturing operations.
Job Requirements
- Safety background in warehousing and/or manufacturing environments
- Experience conducting safety observations on a warehouse/manufacturing floor
- Experience conducting incident investigations and interviewing employees
- Experience with safety recordkeeping aligned to OSHA guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills
- Safety degree
- CSP accreditation
- Experience performing ergonomic reviews
- Experience coordinating safety audits and risk assessments
- Experience managing corrective and preventative action processes (CAPA)
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret, analyze, and support programs, projects, and processes for the health and safety management system
- Spend significant time on the warehouse floor performing safety observations, incident investigations, employee interviews, and safety procedure training
- Design, implement, and continuously improve processes to reduce workplace hazards
- Conduct incident investigations and ergonomic reviews; recommend corrective actions
- Compile and analyze safety data, documentation, and correspondence to meet regulatory and internal requirements
- Develop recommendations to meet internal safety standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage safety recordkeeping per OSHA guidelines and internal procedures
- Coordinate safety audits and risk assessments; identify noncompliance and gaps
- Manage corrective action and preventative action processes
- Review new processes, equipment, and assets for hazards and compliance prior to implementation
- Respond to requests for safety and health information
- Develop and deliver safety presentations and training sessions
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
