Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator (EHS)

The (EHS) Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations related to the environment and the health and safety of team members. They develop and implement policies and procedures, conduct regular audits and inspections, and provide training and education to team members on how to work safely and protect the environment. Also work with site leadership to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.

Duties and responsibilities include conducting job hazard analysis, conducting annual refresher training, proactively identifying potential risks, maintaining and managing EHS programs, conducting team member incident investigations, assisting with government inspections, and verifying that team members are following safety protocols.

Qualifications

Required education and experience include a bachelor's degree in occupational safety & health or a related field and minimum 2+ years of work experience in workplace environment, health and safety programs. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, policies, programs, PPE, environmental policies (EPA) safety engineering, accident/injury investigation procedures, etc. is also required.

Preferred qualifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP). Required skills include the ability to develop and conduct safety training programs, strong understanding of occupational safety principles, hazard identification, risk assessment and control methods, and excellent communication skills.

Additional Information

The starting rate for this role is $65,000-$85,000 annually. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link's Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The work environment is a plant/office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors. However, the vast amount of work is conducted in a climate-controlled office. Travel may be required.
