**Overview**
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Health & Safety Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of staff to meet the Company’s Health and Safety protocols as well as Ontario Health and Safety standards and requirements of training.

- Promote safety awareness through communication and specific training programs.
- Identify safety training needs and coordinate safety training programs.
- Assist in conducting risk analysis, hazard analysis, and physical demand analysis and monitor safety goals.
- Participate in new product/process review including process hazard analysis.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Actively participate in JHSC and organize monthly JHSC meetings.
- Review incident reports and follow-up as necessary.
- Conduct training to new employees on Nutem processes, procedures, and safety standards.
- Assist in developing policies, programs, standards, safe work practices, and updating manuals, and training materials.
- Create/conduct inspection schedules and maintain corrective item schedule.
- Assist in representing the company in matters of health and safety with the MOL, WSIB, health and safety associations, and other outside agencies and organizations.
- Track all corrective and preventive actions and ensure that they are completed promptly.
- Research occupational safety information on a regular basis and the best practices are implemented to minimize the hazards in the workplace.
- Perform additional assignments.
- *Requirements**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Health & Safety personnel.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Degree in a related field or equivalent related professional experience and training.
- Understanding of the Health and Safety Policies and regulations across Canada
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually.
- Must be a highly motivated and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and organizational skills.
- Familiar with 5S, GMP, WHMIS, OHSA, and other standards and requirements in Canada.
