What you’ll do

· Responsible for planning health and safety program and protocols

· Teach supervisors, managers and other leaders in the company about health and safety standards

· Presenting safety training sessions to the company

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations

· Conduct risk assessments to gather information on safety issues

· Verify that employees consistently follow safety protocols

· Analyzing health and safety data

· Review and recommending changes to regular activities

· Coordinate improvement activities related to green initiatives

What we’re looking for

· Bachelor's degree in related field or 4-6 years of experience

· Understanding of OSHA guidelines and other state and local safety regulations

· Familiarity with the tools, machines and equipment used in the workplace

· Attention to detail

· Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to teach others the established safety standards

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Computer literacy skills and comfort with various types of technology used in the industry

· Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people

· Works well under pressure

· Ability to work independently as well as in teams
