Safety Manager

A Safety Manager is needed for a leading EPC and Power Service Organization, it the north western Providence, Rhode Island area. The Safety Manager will lead and implement health and safety initiatives This role is responsible for maintaining the safety management system, ensuring regulatory compliance across U.S. operations.

Candidates should possess extensive experience in construction or industrial service sectors, backed by a understanding of ISO 45001 and 14001 standards. The ideal professional is a self-driven leader with excellent English communication skills and the flexibility to travel domestically up to 30-50%.

responsibilities

• System Management: Implement and continuously improve the HSE Management System and corporate procedures to align with international best practices
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure all operations meet local legal requirements and project-specific HSE standards while leading risk assessment reviews
• Operational Oversight: Act as a Line Manager for regional HSE leaders, providing coaching, guidance, and professional development
• Incident Management: Lead accident investigations and deliver high-quality reports and "lessons learned" to prevent future occurrences
• Cross-Functional Support: Advise Sales, Engineering, and Commissioning teams on HSE requirements for tenders and project deliverables
• Audit & Reporting: Perform site audits and inspections, analyzing safety statistics to create actionable improvement plans
