What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers
• Manage H&S initiatives and projects
• Develop project plans, budget, and timelines as relates to the H&S initiatives / projects
• Identify, develop, assess, and report on internal project development milestones, business impact
• Engage impacted stakeholders and manage the communication strategy/approach to ensure stakeholder
• Partner with Regional Business Leaders to focus on building H&S culture to drive improvement through strategic initiatives
• Accountable for achieving Health and Safety objectives this role is responsible for
• Ensure all initiatives meet or exceed legislative and/or industry requirements

What do you bring?

• A growth mindset: above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with Reliance
• Minimum 5 years Health & Safety experience with demonstrated results delivery of health and safety initiatives
• Management System experience and/or Certification with ISO 45001/9001/14001 is preferred
• WSIB Excellence experience with WSIB Excellence program
• Certification in Project Management for the Health and Safety Professional an asset
• Experience in policy/procedure/business process development and quality improvement would be preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and training skills to all levels
• Strong ability to develop new and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills including ability to influence and negotiate to desired outcomes.
• Flexibility and adaptability; high capacity to effectively prioritize and manage multiple conflicting priorities and to work under pressure in a high-paced, results-focused evolving organization
