We are hiring a University Safety Coordinator to join Safety Services, in the Directorate of Compliance and Risk, at the University of Manchester.The role holder will provide safety advice, support and information to Heads of Faculties and Administrative Directorates, assist senior leaders in meeting their statutory obligations and responsibilities, maintain University health and safety policies, and monitor and audit health and safety performance. In addition, they will work with internal and stakeholders, including regulators and government agencies, to ensure safety compliance.The successful candidate will have:A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalentSignificant experience in a safety-related role, ideally within an organisation of a similar size and complexity.Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to work autonomously.Experience of safety inspections, auditing, and maintaining accurate, up to date records.Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in an accessible manner.Excellent analytical and IT skills.
