A leading UK main contractor is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join their team, supporting construction projects across Chichester and the surrounding region. The Opportunity

You will support the delivery of health & safety across live construction projects, working closely with site teams, project managers and senior management to promote a positive safety culture. This role is well suited to a hands-on advisor who enjoys being site-based and actively involved in day-to-day safety management.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures across live projects
Assist in ensuring full compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company requirements
Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations
Provide advice, guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors
Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
Support training, toolbox talks and safety briefings
Assist with RAMS reviews, method statements and high-risk activity planning
Promote continuous improvement and best practice across all sites

Ideal Background

Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within a main contractor or construction environment
Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK construction H&S legislation
Experience working on live construction sites
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) preferred
Proactive, confident communicator with a practical, site-focused approach
