Job Description
The Safety & Training Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining safe work practices and establishing/maintaining a positive safety culture across all divisions of Highridge. In order to accomplish this, this individual will be required to hold safety meetings, identify safety hazards, and be responsible for ensuring proper communication when injuries or incidents occur. This individual will also be responsible for the scheduling, planning, proctoring, and submittal of all client required Operator Qualifications and Training Requirements, as well as the retention of score reports and documents related to Operator Qualifications and Training Requirements.
Job Responsibilities
· Perform area and job site level audits based on event trending, lagging/leading indicators and safety needs identified with Senior Managers.
· Coordinate injury management and establish injury management resources and relationship building as assigned by Senior Managers.
· Provide safety leadership and promote a positive safety culture as assigned.
· Assist with root cause identification, investigations, and case management.
· Coordinate, manage and respond to OSHA agency level audits as directed by Senior Managers.
· Maintain records of safety procedures, safety meetings, and other related documentation.
· May assist with special projects as assigned related to organization-wide related safety matters.
· Shall ensure timely notifications for serious events are made to Senior Managers.
· Serve as a Curriculum Proctor and Curriculum Performance Evaluator in NCCER.
· Serve as a proctor and evaluator for other Operator Qualification platforms such as Veriforce, Energy WorldNet, etc.
· Working knowledge of federal, state, and industry requirements to resolve safety issues.
· Schedule field employees for operator qualification training and/or other client required trainings.
· Maintains and submits required paperwork/qualificartions in accordance with client requirements.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills
· Valid State Driver’s License with clean abstract.
· Ability to pass an observed DOT drug screening as well as being subject to random testing throughout employment.
· Pass background check.
· 5+ years experience in the safety industry, or at least 2 years relevant experience with a safety related bachelors degree.
· Knowledge of DOT operator qualification compliance regulations and industry standards.
Certifications and Trainings
· OSHA 500, or other accredited safety certification i.e CSP, ASP, OHS, CHST, CSST, CSHO.
· Obtains or is willing to obtain Operator Qualification (OQ) Instructor Certification through NCCER, Veriforce, and Energy WorldNet.
Physical and Work Demands
· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds at a time and walk several miles a day if necessary
· Overnight travel nationwide as needed to support position and duties

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
