Safety Manager

At Weeks Marine & Kiewit, we're passionate about creating a safe working environment for our employees. As a Safety Manager, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective safety programs across our marine infrastructure projects and offices.

• Manage environmental health and safety programs at project level, driving a safety-oriented approach to work.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret occupational illness and accident statistical data at project level.
• Recommend process and product safety features to reduce employee exposure to hazards.
• Routinely inspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards.
• Monitor workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on correct behaviors.
• Develop environmental health and safety training materials, including manuals, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Interpret safety regulations and coordinate safety training to support client requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field of study.
• 8+ years of experience managing safety on construction projects, preferably in heavy civil construction.
• CSP or CHST certification is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
