Responsibilities

  • Focus on workplace safety and compliance with MSHA regulations
  • Develop, implement, and improve safety policies and programs
  • Provide safety training and education
  • Conduct risk assessments and inspect work environments
  • Investigate accidents and accompany MSHA on inspections
  • Evaluate control measures to minimize risk
  • Schedule annual physicals and hearing tests
  • Assist with weekly and monthly H&S reporting
  • Maintain organized records of training and inspections
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all departments

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and stay organized
  • Proficient in computer use for communication and report submission
  • Preferred industry experience
  • Preferred MSHA Trainer Certification
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

Education Requirements

  • Relevant certifications in health and safety preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Health and Safety certifications or related qualifications

Experience Requirements

  • Industry experience in workplace safety and compliance with MSHA regulations preferred
