Wage: $23–$26 per hour, depending on experience

Summary
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support ongoing safety initiatives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a flexible, action-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills. The Safety Coordinator will assist in implementing safety processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and performing administrative tasks to support the safety department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Track onboarding and safety training programs.
- Monitor completion of field forms, including daily pre-task checklists, quarterly safety inspections, and other documentation.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating virtual, self-led, and in-person safety education programs.
- Support the Safety Committee by preparing agendas, coordinating follow-ups, and distributing meeting minutes.
- Assist with administration of the Safety Management program.
- Support development and editing of department SOPs.
- Assist with fleet management tasks, including vehicle registrations and maintaining authorized driver lists.
- Evaluate cost-effective safety supplies.
- Research jobsite requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and post-incident testing.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Recommend solutions, improvements, or new prevention measures.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including maintaining files and processing paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree in health and safety or related field preferred, or 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety and compliance regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn other software programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move around offices and field sites, including walking and standing.
- Occasional bending, crouching, or reaching.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Clear vision to review documents and inspect equipment.
- Adequate hearing to participate in meetings and assess jobsite noise.
- Use of office equipment and safety management software.
- Occasional travel to job sites or vendors; valid driver’s license required.
- Willingness to follow PPE protocols during site visits.
