EHS Program Manager, AMER Labs/R&D, Environmental Health

Job Summary

The EHS Program Manager role will support and continue to develop lab EHS programs for the AMER region.

This individual contributor role includes developing and enhancing EHS compliance and risk management processes, driving program understanding, influencing business unit leadership, and integrating EHS into daily lab operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and cost-effectively implement programs to manage lab EHS-related risks.
• Conduct investigations of working conditions in lab spaces for the prevention of occupational disease and industrial health hazards.
• Develop and implement EHS training programs that engage all levels of lab teams on EHS responsibilities and safety cultural progression.
• Provide leadership on EHS issues within the labs team and assist senior leaders in understanding business impacts of EHS issues.
• Support and conduct lab EHS audits and develop action plans to resolve EHS findings and implement solutions and countermeasures.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to assure effective EHS program implementation and cohesiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or a related field and 5+ years of experience providing EHS support in laboratory/R&D, complex manufacturing, and/or production environment.

Master's degree in Health and Safety or a related field and EHS-related licenses or certifications are preferred.
