Safety Coordinator, Global RAD Operations

We are seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the Amazon Safety program. In this role, you will support the Safety Manager in ensuring compliance and identifying potential hazards within the Fulfillment Center (FC) environment.

Your responsibilities will include

• Implementing, monitoring, and evaluating workplace safety to ensure adherence to company policies and to maintain a secure environment for all.
• Documenting daily activities and safety prevention measures comprehensively.
• Conducting Risk Assessments and developing safety standard work procedures with team members.
• Performing ergonomic assessments and integrating findings into applicable Standard Work.
• Providing immediate assistance to associates, visitors, and vendors requiring medical attention.
• Investigating incidents, compiling reports, and conducting Root Cause Analyses in collaboration with Operations leadership.
• Coordinating with emergency agencies when necessary.
• Enhancing customer service within the Operations team by engaging in process paths.
• Responding to safety situations as directed by the Safety Manager.
• Observing and assessing physical safety conditions and staff behaviors, conducting audits and inspections of safety equipment.
• Facilitating training sessions and participating in orientations for new managers and associates.
• Assisting with CPR/First Aid and Power Equipment training as assigned by management.
• Facilitating 5S and Kaizen events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for shifts of up to 12 hours, with the physical capability to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach frequently.
• Commitment to working 40 hours per week, including potential overtime.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

The compensation for this role ranges from $46,800 to $57,200 annually, depending on market location and qualifications. Compensation may also include equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.
