About us

Our client is a HVAC/Plumbing mechanical contractor servicing the DC Metro area and based in Montgomery County Maryland. They specialize in the design, installation and maintenance of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, government and industrial clients.

Description

We are looking for an experienced Safety Director to join our client's team and lead their safety program to be compliant with OSHA and other regulatory safety standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing all safety policies and procedures for their office and field employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce safety policies
• Conduct job site safety inspections and audits
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local safety regulations
• Lead incident investigations
• Develop/deliver safety training programs for new hires and continuing education for all employees
• Maintain safety records
• Liaison with regulatory agencies
• Identify safety data trends and areas for improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management or related field is highly preferred
• 5 years safety experience in construction. HVAC/Mechanical contracting is highly preferred
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 are required
• CHST/CSP preferred
